Uttar Man Limbu (Tigela)

Uttar Man Limbu is a Director and Principal solicitor for the firm. Mr Limbu started studying laws in the UK in 2012 and was admitted to the roll of solicitors for England and Wales in 2017. Prior to this, Mr Limbu was admitted as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nepal in 1994. He then moved to Hong Kong and worked there as an Immigration Consultant for more than 10 years.

Uttar Limbu specializes in immigration law, conveyancing (both residential and commercial) and family. He serves his clients well through the knowledge and experience he has gained in these areas. Uttar Limbu also has experience in personal injury and litigation.

Suraj Limbu (Nembang)

Suraj Limbu is a consultant solicitor in the firm. Mr. Limbu qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, having passed the QLTS in 2020. Prior to this, he qualified as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nepal in 2010.

Suraj Limbu’s practice areas are mainly property conveyancing and immigration. In addition, he also practices other legal services provided by the firm. Suraj Limbu is trilingual and speaks English, Nepali and Hindi.

Luna Rai

Luna Rai is a qualified solicitor and a consultant in the firm. She studied law with International Relations LLB (Hons) from Surrey University, Guildford, graduating in 2016. She then completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Law, Guildford, and qualified as a solicitor in 2020.

Prior to joining Gurkha Solicitors Limited, Luna worked as a solicitor at N C Brothers & Co Solicitors in Reading where she managed the Immigration department.

Luna has vast experience in dealing with the UK immigration law and has dealt with complex immigration matters including applications, appeals, spouse and fiancé visas, family and private life matters, indefinite leave to remain, naturalisation and BNO visa applications.

Luna is trilingual and fluently speaks English, Nepali and Hindi.

Radhika Thapa Acharya

Radhika obtained her LLB from Nepal Law Campus in 2014 and was admitted to an Advocate in Nepal in 2015, having successfully passed the Nepal Bar Advocate Licence Examination. She has professional experience in company law in Nepal. She has prepared strategic plans and institutional policies for Nepalese higher education institutions pursuing Quality Assurance and Accreditation with the University Grants Commission, through Pragmatic Research and Innovation Pvt. Ltd.

In addition to her legal qualification, Radhika holds a Graduate Diploma in Social Science from the NEPA School of Social Sciences and Humanities, a master’s Degree in English literature from Tribhuvan University, and an MSc in Human Resource Management (HRM) from Swansea University, Wales, UK. She also has extensive experience in primary and secondary research across a range of organisations.

Since October 2024, Radhika has been practising as a Paralegal at Gurkha Solicitors Limited. Her principal responsibilities include completing immigration application forms, preparing supporting documentation, drafting immigration correspondence, preparing witness statements, compiling appeal bundles, and assisting solicitors with conveyancing and family law matters.

John Gurung

John Gurung earned his LLB with honours from Brunel University, London in 2025 and is currently undergoing preparation to become an SQE-qualified solicitor. He brings a focused background in casework and legal administration, having gained significant pro- bono experience at Solicitors’ Inn and Everest Law Solicitors, where he specialised in personal injury, landlord and tenant disputes, and immigration matters. He also has an experience in receptionist/administrator position, handling calls, monitoring emails, greeting clients, and being the first line of enquiry.

At Gurkha Solicitors Limited, John serves as a Paralegal and Caseworker, specifically handling immigration matters for Gurkhas and Hong Kong military veterans discharged prior to July 1997. His responsibilities include drafting witness statements, preparing court bundles and preparing applications under the supervision of the principal solicitor of the firm. He is also instrumental in the firm’s conveyancing department.

Beyond Mr Gurung’s technical legal work, he likes to maintain high standards of client communication and firm administration, ensuring seamless communication and case progression. He is a multilingual professional, fluent in English and Nepalese, with advanced proficiency in Spanish.

He did his A-Levels in Greenford Sixth form with qualifications in English Literature, Media Studies, and Information Technology.
